बता दें, श्रद्धा(Shraddha) मुंबई की रहने वाली थी। दोनों वहां एक कॉल सेंटर में काम करते थे। वहीं मुलाकात हुई और फिर दोस्ती प्यार में बदल गई दोनों के परिवार को यह रिश्ता पसंद नहीं आया, तो भागकर दिल्ली आ गए। यहां किराए का मकान लिया और आफताब एक बड़ी होटल मे शेफ का काम करने लगा। इस दौरान लिव इन में रहते हुए श्रद्धा ने शादी का दबाव डाला। एक दिन गुस्सा में आकर आफताब ने श्रद्धा की गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी। इसके बाद शव को ठिकाने लगाने के लिए उसके टुकड़े कर दिए। रोज रात को निकलता और एक टुकड़ा महरौली के जंगलों में फेंक देता।
